James DiBiase is a freelance photographer based in Brighton, England. He has worked on numerous assignments home and abroad. During this time he has brought his unique vision to a diverse range of subjects, from the weird and wonderful world of 21st century Japan to the committed endeavour of the Brighton Swimming Club sea members who brave the elements all year round.

His work has been exhibited across East Sussex and at the Photographers Gallery in London. As well as solo shows, he has gained recognition for his work, including being awarded the Tom Buckeridge Prize for Photography and being Highly Commended in the 1996 Hodge Award. His work has been published in national magazines such as Foto8 and Coast as well as locally for Sussex Life. He has also been commissioned by local musicians, such as the folk band Ungagged, who used his photography for the CD Where The River Meets The Sea. He is available for commissions and has many years experience shooting to a brief.

James DiBiase studied a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design, at Brighton Polytechnic, receiving a 2.1 upon its completion. Since obtaining his PGCE, he has been primarily employed as a co-ordinator of the highly successful A Level Applied Art & Design course at Sussex Downs College, Lewes. He also works for Edexcel as a fully qualified External Moderator in Art & Design.
